BRIEF BACKGROUND OF ACADEMIA INTERNATIONAL
Due to lack of public and private investment in education sector and the need for the quality educational institution for the people of Duadzai and surrounding region was felt intensely since long. Keeping in mind the needs of the people for quality education and high standard institution, a comprehensive survey was conducted in early 2010 to assess the feasibility of high standard educational institution in this region. The result of above survey was quite astonishing as more then 90% of people surveyed favoured the establishment of an institution which can compete with the institutions highly regarded in the other part of the country. This survey was quite decisive for the management to take a positive decision and hence the foundation of the ACADEMIA INTERNATIONAL was laid. To finance the establishment of this new institution Rs. 300 million was set aside to accommodate for each and every facility that one can expect from the well reputed institutions.
AI is situated about 10 kilometres from Peshawar city on the main road leading towards tehsil Charsadda. It is about 2km for famous Khazana Sugar Mill. It is located ideally on a picturesque site of over 12 kanals of land, 1200 ft above sea level.
AI provides educational opportunities to local students on merit. It aims at producing enlightened and progressive young individuals. Maximum opportunities are provided for participation in extracurricular activities such as debates, dramatic and literary competitions and so on. Educational trips and study tours are also arranged. The presence of peaceful, pleasant and congenial academic atmosphere is felt all around. Competent, experienced and dedicated teachers contribute honestly for the achievement of the aims and objectives. The foremost objectives are to exploit the potential of students in order to develop a balanced personality and an ideal character. Also in order to streamline the moral values of the students and make them exemplary Muslims and patriotic citizens, regular programmes for the recitation of Holy Quran and Qirat are held, declamation contests on social problems are also part of our extracurricular activities.
Its two stories State of the Art building consists of more than 50 rooms which include classrooms, laboratories, computer labs, library, administration block, separate staff rooms for male and females teachers and auditorium. The building is well maintained with heating & cooling arrangements for winter and summer. The laboratories are properly equipped and the library has a good collection of up-to-date reference books, text books and books in specialized fields. The wide playground attached to the school building is used for inter-class and inter college tournaments and college sports.
